The route offers all terrain conditions which makes it a perfect training climb to prepare for “Mont Blanc in a day”. From Albert 1er hut we continue on the glacier until the rocky airy yet easy section that leads to the summit of Aiguille du Tour, rewarding our efforts with a stunning view over the Mont Blanc range and the distant Swiss peaks.

Ascending Aiguille du Tour in a day
After an early start from Chamonix we take a break at Albert 1er hut, before setting foot on the glacier. We return to Chamonix later the same day.

Starting point: Le Tour-La Vormaine (1450m/ 4 785 ft)) Car park :+ 0 m
Point 1, Refuge Albert 1er (2706m/ 8 929 ft): + 1250m / 4 125ft
