Tour du Mont-Blanc Family
Number of days : 6

A legendary hiking trip, Tour du Mont-Blanc is an absolute must and the ideal hiking tour to discover the alpine diversity and the rich heritage of three countries.

Designed for families and all ages, this program is perfectly adapted to the youngest and eldest hikers in search of fun discoveries and emotions. Daily hikes are selected to fit all levels. We will discover the natural treasures of the Contamines-Montjoie preserved area. We will also meet farmers at the alpine meadows to taste and enjoy their local products. We will spend the night at the Bonhomme hut at 2430m to immerse ourselves in this unique and beautiful environment! This program is a selection of the best mountain activities to enjoy unforgettable exciting holidays.

Luggage are transported to accommodations along the trip (except for the night of day 2).  Group transfers, luggage transportation and lunches are taken care of by our mountain leader team.  Our assistance minivan is driven by a mountain leader all along the hike.  We only carry hiking essentials and fully enjoy the hike!

We start our Tour from the village of Les Houches. After a beautiful and pleasant climb, we reach Col de Voza from where we can admire the Chamonix valley and its beautiful granite peaks. Then we continue on and hike to Tête de La Charme (1870m), our highest point for today. The 360° panoramic view of the Mont-Blanc range, Mont Joly, the Aravis range, Désert de Platé, the Fiz and Aiguilles Rouges ranges is a pure a pleasure for our eyes!  Our look-out point offers a great view of the Pays du Mont Blanc region. Finally, we hike down to the hamlet of Bionnassay. We spend the night in a mountain inn.
Up : 650 m  /  Down : 340 m

We follow a comfortable trail down to Val Montjoie and the hamlet of Tresse, where we meet the shuttle that will drive us to the village of Les Contamines and the trailheads at Notre-Dame-de-la-Gorge. This is the start of a gradual and splendid climb to Col du Bonhomme. We hike across the preserved natural area of Les Contamines-Montjoie and its beautiful alpine setting. We gradually gain altitude, leaving behind trees and isolated farms, replaced by alpine meadows, rocks and cliffs, as we get closer to Col du Bonhomme. Not far, we can see Ibexes grazing or enjoying the warm sunny hours of the day! Soon we reach the welcoming hut, just over Col de la Croix du Bonhomme! No access to our luggage.
Up : 1 280 m  /  Down : 250 m
Our day’s hike starts with a descent to the hamlet of Les Chapieux, through alpine meadows of the Beaufortain region, among herds of goats and the local and graceful-looking Tarine cows. We take the shuttle to reach the hamlet of Ville des Glaciers to set foot on the trail to Col de la Seigne (2516m), on the French-Italian border. The climb to the pass is very nice, and the view opens up to new peaks and alpine valleys, along the impressing south face of Mont-Blanc. The view is absolutely spectacular! Sheer faces, glaciers and lakes …We hike down to Lac Combal and the Italian hamlet of La Visaille in Val Vény, where we meet our minivan to drive to Courmayeur, where our hotel awaits us for the night.

Once again, the panorama is sumptuous. We discover the impressive faces of Grandes Jorasses, those of the Triolet, and the emblematic Mont Dolent, at the top of which 3 borders meet. On the way down we hike by the Alpine inn of La Peule (2070m) and to the village of La Fouly.
