In the Aosta valley, the italian side of Monte Rosa offers an ideal playground for snowboarding and splitboarding, with three valleys connected by the Monte Rosa ski lifts. It is a well known place! Formed by high summits and impressive glaciers, these valleys have an undisputed high mountain character, offering differents itineraries in altitude, mythical descents. During the journey, we stay in Gressoney, a charming village in the Aosta valley, ideally located in the heart of Monte Rosa.

Day 1 : Ride on the Monterosa ski resort. After time devoted to off-piste safety (use of a transceiver, off-piste behavior…), we take advantage of the ski lifts to explore and ski down several runs on this beautiful resort and enjoy a short climb with skins.

Day 2 : From Stafal we take the lifts for the Bettaforca (2672m) then by splitboard we climb up to the upper pass of Bettolina (3100m).A splendid view welcomes us on the Ayas valley. Be ready for a descent through beautiful dales to the Saint-Jacques hamlet (1689m). It’s with the Champoluc lifts that we go back to Stafal.
Elevation gain: 428m - Negative difference in altitude: 1411m.

Day 3 : Perduta valley… ! With the lifts of Stafal we reach the Indren station (3275m), it is from there that we splitboard up to reach a pass on the Cresta Alta Luce (3498m) not far from the Montova hut. On a short and steep descent we arrive on the magnificent Lys glacier for a beautiful descent to Stafal by the Perduta valley dominated by the Monte Rosa’s 4000m.
Elevation gain: 200m - Negative difference in altitude: 1635m.

Day 4 : Vincent Pyramid (4215m)… ! From the Indren station (3275m) we splitboard up to the Vincent Pyramid (solid 4000m) on skins, its summit gives us an unbelievable view of the Matterhorn at Monte Rosa. A beautiful and long mythical descent awaits until Stafal ...!
Elevation gain: 940 m - Negative difference in altitude: 2375m.
