Special offer for New Year's Eve : 2 days snowshoeing in Val Ferret (in Italy), to spend the night in one of the most beautiful refuge of the area. Mara, Sara and the whole Bonatti crew will welcome us in their cozy refuge, with a feast menu !
On the first day, snowshoeing up the gentle Val Ferret is a perfect warm-up to enjoy the famous polenta or the traditional minestrone soup at Lavachey auberge. On the second day, we'll take advantage of the Malatra Bowl where the Bonatti hut is settled. Smooth curves, wild range, with the Mont-Blanc as a background ...

Day 1 : VAL FERRET - LAVACHEY - REFUGE BONATTI
The Italian Val Ferret parallels the South face of Mont Blanc range. An easy and varied snowshoe percourse leads to the welcoming mountain restaurant of Lavachey, where a traditional meal is awaiting us : Armando's polenta with deer or porcini, Laura's tiramisu ... In the afternoon, we'll hike up to Bonatti hut first crossing a larch forest, and then reaching the open lands over the tree limit. Bonatti hut was build in 1998. It is probably the only refuge of its kind regarding comfort and space. Hot showers, comforters, large dormitories, walls decorated with numerous pictures of Walter Bonatti's adventures.
Mara is welcoming us with a special dinner for an unforgettable New Year's Eve !
