The Val Ferret or Ferret valley, borders the immense south faces of the Mont-Blanc Range. It is a valley well known and appreciated for its spectacular views of the highest summits in the range (The Grands Jorasses, The Dent du Geant...) as well as for its wilderness, calmess and authenticity.
The proposed program has been developed specifically for an initiation in ski touring; beginners are welcome! In an exceptional landscape, literally nestled under the immence face of Mont-blanc, you will learn how to use all the necessary equipment (climbing skins,k avalanche transceiver, probe,, shovel, etc) and you will enjoy a well earned meal at the magnificient Bonatti refuge (Italian cuisine and the comfort of an hotel nestled on the side of the mountain!)
The view is truly exeptional towards the italian side of Mont-Blanc from the Col de la Seigne (mountain pass); the french/italian border all the way to the Col ferret, at the Italian/Swiss border.
